January saw the launch of our long awaited Complete Top Biller course for experienced recruiters, the group that often get missed when it comes to training and development.
The aim of this course was simple – to get them to bill more.
We can safely say that objective was achieved by the first person to become IOR accredited on this course – Narinder Uppal from Odgers Interim who actually doubled the revenue target she set.
The course starts with the learner setting 3 course objectives agreed by their manager – a revenue target/contract runners target, improving a recruitment ratio e.g. Jobs: Placement and a third of their choice. An action plan is then created by the learner and the objectives used as our assessment criteria for accreditation. All learners who passed became professional members of the IOR and could use the letters IOR Assoc. after their names.
Self-study takes a lot of commitment and dedication and for those that pass not only did they do a great job by achieving their course objectives; they completed all 12 assignments which turned the theory into action.
I want to say a special well done to Narinder who did every single assignment on a Sunday and actually self-funded the course. This really does show commitment to personal development! Not only did she go above and beyond with her assignments, but she doubled her revenue target. She did this because she applied every single thing she learnt, she was planned, organized and willing to take risks.

Each week I looked forward to the module and was always keen to see how I could improve my current techniques but also apply new ways of doing things.
