Millions for recruiter of the future

New software can find good candidates who are not actively searching for a new job

Investment fund LBDF, support provider Kickstart and the 8vance founders, have jointly invested in 8vance Matching Technologies, to provide the company with 2 million euro for innovation and growth.

The Limburg Business Development Fund, founded by the Province of Limburg (Netherlands), provides financial instruments to test, develop and market ideas with business potential. LBDF covers each stage in the development from idea to market with a mix of financial means.

Kickstart is the central point for innovative start-ups in the Venlo region. Kickstart connects start-ups with research institutes, technical experts, service providers and institutions, and all that is required to make a successful start-up.

Finding the needle in the haystack

8vance has developed a smart virtual assistant who, to a large extent, takes care of the long search process for the ideal candidate or job. The assistant named AIMA (Automatic Intelligent Matching Agent) is able to find talent and jobs faster and more efficiently on the internet, and can match them together.

AIMA can also find good candidates who are not actively searching for a new job. AIMA, which uses artificial intelligence and big data, also takes soft skills into account and is able to progressively make the labour market transparent.

The public beta version of the system is currently being tested by an international group of companies, recruiters and HR service providers.

Roll out and innovation

Dick Hak, managing director Kickstart Venlo explains:

“With Kickstart we offer venture capital for 8vance’s innovative plans.”

Han Stoffels founder and CEO of 8vance adds:

“This investment will enable us to roll out our recruitment solution in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Germany.”

The version that finds the perfect job for candidates and supports them in building a career is expected in spring.

Bert de Wit, LBDF managing director says:

“8vance Matching Technologies fits well with the Limburg Business Development Fund and can fulfill its international growth ambitions with this investment.”
