Third quarter of 2017 shows growing staff shortage in healthcare

Healthcare continues to increase its demand for workforce being the sector with the most job postings in the market

After de-duplication, unique vacancies amounted to 2,35 million, which represents an increase of 0.6% compared to the third quarter of 2016.

The sector with the highest demand continued to be healthcare with 17,6% of total market share experiencing an increase of 1,2% year-on-year.

One of Brexit’s promises was to improve the UK’s healthcare system but uncertainty surrounding the status of EU residents and future immigration policies seem to have created a shortage of appropriate candidate as these numbers indicate.
