The Institute of Recruiters, the recognised body for HR and recruitment professionals, has teamed up with law firms Eversheds, Hill Dickinson and Irwin Mitchell to offer innovative HR qualifications to individuals and businesses.
Following a root and branch re-evaluation of HR professional’s requirements in the workplace, the IOR has designed a practical qualification to be delivered by HR and employment law specialists. The Institute has also built a state of the art online learning platform (www.StudyCourse.org) to help deliver the course and provide learners with an integrated-learning experience.
The three legal practices have each contributed to the creation of learning materials and are also part of the delivery team offering training from offices in Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield and London.
The first qualification offered is the Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of HR Practice. It is aimed at anyone with people management responsibilities and provides a strong starting point in a HR career.
Azmat Mohammed, of the IOR stated, “It’s very unusual for three law firms of this size and stature to come together like this. We are absolutely delighted that we can now offer an amazing experience to learners, one that is new and exciting, which is what learning should be like.”
“Our first new course is perfect for people getting into HR, or for businesses that need a better trained HR team allowing them to sharpen their talent attraction skills, and ability to hold on to their best people. Our HR course teaches how to properly support and manage your staff, which is the key to success and profits.”
A managing director from a London-based management consultancy firm, who has recently completed the qualification added: “The qualification is a real-life practical application of HR wrapped in an official OfQual Accredited Qualification. I would highly recommend this programme to anyone who either wants to start a career in HR or deals with HR as part of their existing duties.”
