An Enniskillen packaging company has unveiled plans for an £11m investment drive which is expected to create 35 new jobs
Webtech produces eight billion labels a year at its factory for a number of major soft drinks companies and supermarket chains.
It plans to increase this capacity by purchasing two new printing presses. Invest NI has offered cash in support of the plans. The company is also increasing investment for a marketing campaign to develop sales of flexible labels across Europe.
Webtech’s managing director Nigel McSorley said: “Our factory has the most advanced flexographic printing presses in the world and our aim is to become the European supplier of choice for flexible labelling.
“This investment enables us not only to expand capacity but to continue to innovate, and explore new technologies and materials so that we can respond quickly to changing customer requirements.”
Enterprise minister Arlene Foster said: “Webtech NI is a company that has built up an international reputation based on delivering the highest standard of quality and service from its state-of-the-art production facility.”
“The company has provided high quality sustainable manufacturing jobs in Northern Ireland for many years, growing in size as it penetrated the Great Britain and European markets.”
“This significant investment will underpin Webtech’s goal of increasing sales by £10m over the next four years, focusing on export growth in Europe and North Africa.”
