A metalworking firm in Yorkshire is on track to record three consecutive years of 30% growth in turnover.
Arkoni, founded in 1991, have released figures for 2013-2014 that reveal an increase in turnover to £5.25 million, up from £4 million along with a order book that is full stretching well into 2015 – bucking the trend of the rest of the UK manufacturing sector.
The firm manufactures fire-rated glazing systems and metalwork figures for the UK based construction industry from the company headquarters in Brighouse, Yorkshire.
Arkoni founder and MD, Mark Prentice, remarked “We are operating at full capacity and have been doing so for the last two years”
“’We’ve enhanced our manufacturing capability with the construction of a new workshop incorporating automated technology, increased our workforce and introduced efficient and robust management systems.”
“Much of the growth has been based on rapidly growing demand for fire-rated glazing systems” said Mr Prentice “Over the past twelve months we have installed a number of new glazing systems including new schools, shopping centres, office complexes, cathedrals and other locations in the UK”
“The figures for the previous year were way above target and we continue to be an effective bellweather for commercial and public sector construction projects in the UK. In effect we’ve doubled turnover in three years”
Arkoni are looking to continue its expansion with further appointments expected in 2014 and into 2015.
