The British Institute of Recruiters (BIoR) has announced that Penguin Pay will now become their preferred service provider in the payroll sector.
Penguin Pay is an Employment solutions and payroll firm based in the City of London that has been creating a positive buzz since it was established. Penguin Pay is the trading style for its 3 distinctive businesses – Penguin Umbrella, Penguin CIS, and Penguin Employment. Becoming BIoR’s preferred service provider in the payroll sector is Penguin Pay’s most recent manoeuvre to further establish themselves in a growing, competitive sector.
This announcement has come at a great time for Penguin Pay, HMRC recently announced upcoming legislative changes around every contractor’s least favourite 4-letter word, “IR35”, has meant that London, and the rest of the country, will need to lean even more on companies like Penguin Pay that offer reliable, compliant alternatives to working as a self-employed contractor.
Creating strong relationships with reputable organisations like BIoR will allow Penguin Pay to be a more attractive offer to contractors who need to find a new way to work. Penguin Pay’s London-based HQ and in-house support team is a refreshing option in a sector muddied with ‘the latest tax-avoidance schemes’ and ‘off-shore holding companies’.
Penguin Pay founder, and CEO, Iain St John was delighted that both parties were able to come together. “I’ve worked in this sector for about 10 years now, and I know that the company is always only as good as the people that it works with, we’ve always focused on building a really strong team, we now see The British Institute of Recruiters as an extension of that team. We’ve known about them for a long time and we know how well they’re respected across all sectors. We’re really looking forward to both companies working together and improving through this partnership.”
