The global engineering services firm Tata Technologies has announced plans to build a new European headquarters in Warwickshire which will create 200 new jobs.
After being granted planning permission the purpose built HQ represents a £16 million investment in the company’s operations in the UK and overseas, with 200 jobs for design engineers and programme managers.
The HQ will be home to Tata Technologies’ engineering support services, as well as a modern R&D centre which will create growth opportunities especially in the automotive, aerospace and industrial machinery sectors.
Chief operating officer of Tata Technologies Europe, Nick Sale said: “These new headquarters showcase our ambition to continue to grow and expand Tata Technologies’ operations in the UK and Europe. The development marks an exciting new chapter in the company’s support of engineering excellence across the region.”
Chris White, MP for Warwick and Leamington, added: “I welcome Tata Technologies’ announcement and commitment to creating 200 skilled jobs in our community.
“This is great news for local people and another endorsement of the importance of the region as a manufacturing and engineering hub that is playing a key role in helping to rebalance the UK economy.”
The leader of Warwick District Council said: “This is wonderful news that Tata Technologies have confirmed that their new European headquarters will be based in Warwick.
“As a council, we are delighted that our efforts in assisting Tata Technologies to relocate to the District have paid off and it shows that we are committed to doing everything we can to support new and existing business in the area”
