By 2020, there will be at least 1 million more computing jobs than applicants who can fill themIndeed has released the top 25 firms to work for, assessing factors such as career progression, flexible working opportunities and salary levels.
Apple was commended by its employees for its good pay, positive work culture, and even for giving them the occasional freebie.
UK firms ranked highly, accounting for two-thirds of the list of 25 companies.
Humberside homeware retailer Wren Kitchens came in at second place. The company employs more than 4,000 staff and scored highly for valuing and treating its employees well.
Global pharmaceutical business Glaxo Smith Kline came third for offering a good work-life balance.
The retail sector dominated the top 25 firms, with ten high street brands, including struggling John Lewis and Marks & Spencer, in eighth and 10th spots respectively.
