A London recruiter found itself at the centre of a Twitter storm after referencing erotic blockbuster ‘Secretary’ in an advert for a secretarial role.
The tweet featured a still from the masochistic movie, with the words: ‘Secretary required in Mayfair. Stockings optional! £35k. Ready to assume the position?’
In response to the ad, which depicted a female in stockings performing secretarial duties, one Twitter used posted: “Maybe she’s looking in the bottom drawer for the sexual harassment forms?”
Having first defended the post by referencing star Maggie Gyllenhaal’s Golden Globe nomination for ‘Best Actress’, Bow-based ICS Recruitment has since deleted the image across all its social media platforms.
A new post uploaded on International’s Women’s Day featured a meme image with the text: ‘He asked: ‘What’s your favourite position?’ I said: ‘CEO’’.
