‘Mental health in work’ – Legal campaign reaches TV audiences

Hard hitting employer message taken to viewers across the UK

Mental Health Solutions in Business has created a TV campaign to highlight how employers can face serious legal consequences if they don’t adapt work conditions for any employee(s) living with mental health issues.

The inaugural TV campaign first hit TV screens on the 10th September (and will be aired for six weeks) to viewers on More4, Good Food, Gold, Alibi & BT Sports, helping to raise awareness of legal laws surrounding mental health in the workplace, which if not adhered to, can lead to fines or prosecutions for businesses.

Mental Health Solutions in Business partnered with leading independent agency Media Agency Group (MAG) to build a TV campaign to reach specific targeted audiences.

Stephen Jackson, CEO of Mental Health Solutions in Business Ltd said: “Our innovative forward-thinking company has spent over 18 months in developing this unique un-rivalled mental health web site. Its main object was to coheres both the employer and employee needs and help keep them on the right side of the law. This is a specialised field, but it applies to every business and as we have no real competition the route to market is essential for us.

“This is our first adventure into T.V. advertising and our experience in this area is to say the least non- existent. After several meetings with MAG, we realised we were dealing with a very professional company whose knowledge, expertise and planning campaigns were second to none. We have left everything in their capable hands and are now running a nation T.V. campaign which I am assured will be successful”.

John Kehoe, Chief Executive of Media Agency Group said: “This TV campaign is an extremely topical one, as many employers are unaware they can face prosecution if they don’t make reasonable adjustments in the workplace for employees diagnosed with mental health problems. We feel privileged to work with Mental Health Solutions in Business to help get its important and highly current messages portrayed to a national TV audience”.

Mental Health Solutions in Business offer support, guidance and training for businesses to protect them against Mental Health Problems in the workplace. A membership starts from £120 per year to help employers understand mental health problems and provide mental health support. Depending on the membership purchased there will be free training for the nominated staff to spot any issues and work with the employee.

MediaCityUK based MAG has a portfolio of clients including Ferrari land, Jelly belly, Crystal maze, Visit Mexico, Herbalife, Protyre, Isabel Marant, Scalable Capital, Bermuda tourism and Sykes cottages.
